Festival Events - Rain or Shine

• ART EXHIBITION: Friday, Aug. 6th - 14th
  "HEADS UP"
  A Heady Experience. Artists will make your collective heads spin.
• Friday, Aug. 6th

  KIDS CREATE

  An art adventure for families. A multitude of art and craft projects both individual and collaborative. As well as: live performances, play stations, face painting, story tent, music and snacks. Ages 3 and up. $10.00 each child; $25.00 per family. Pre-registration available to secure your childs place. Children must be accompanied. 10:00am - 2:00pm

  Festival Workshops

  Outdoor watercolour landscape painting with J’anna Jacqulyn: Friday August 6th from 9am to 12pm. Learn to paint watercolours loosely and how to make a complicated subject simple. Brushstrokes are broad and free and very little attention is paid to detail.

  Oil painting workshop with Simon Copas: Friday August 6th from 9:30am to 12:30pm. An introduction to plein air painting. How to look at the landscape and put it down on canvas in an immediate manner-with note to making colour and noticing forms within composition.

  Oil painting workshop with Shelley Mitchell: Friday August 6th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Enjoy the wonderful experience of painting landscape with Shelley Mitchell. All workshops will take place on location in the beautiful Village of Chester: each session is only $25.00 - register early!

  Live Art

  See talented artists paint the village of Chester and then auction their work at the Saturday fair.

  CHESTER ART FAIR This year’s art fair is bigger and better than ever. Festivals are a combination of people, education, entertainment and food where you can find amazing items offered for sale by talented artists and artisans from Chester and all over Nova Scotia. Silent auction for LIVE ART ends at 3pm...Free Admission, donations welcomed. 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

• Sunday, August 8th

  ANTIQUES SHOW and SHARE - : An afternoon “Antiques Show and Share” workshop where Wayne Cameron will provide information and a valuation on your treasures be they antiques, paintings, china, glass or other collectibles. Come be informed and entertained at our show & share event. Cost $25.00 per person for 2 items ($100.00 value for 25% of the cost!) 2:00pm - 4:30pm
