About The Event
During this workshop, participants will make their own hardcover 2025 agenda. We will utilize traditional bookbinding techniques to create a one-of-a-kind book to keep your life organized in 2025! The agenda will be made with pre-printed pages and the cover will be customized with extra pockets and optional elastic or ribbon closure. This workshop is suitable for both new and experienced students.
Tools and materials will be provided with the exception of the following:Â Pencil, Scissors, Cutting Mat.
About Your Instructor:
Rhonda Miller is a bookbinder and book artist with over twenty years experience and she has an undying fascination with book structure and historical bookbinding. She does custom bookbinding, book repair and restoration, and paper marbling. While earning her Masters of Library and Information Studies degree, she studied bookbinding at the Dawson Printshop at Dalhousie University. Later, she continued to learn through a variety of workshops and courses such as the Paper and Book Intensive. Rhonda is owner and operator of MyHandboundBooks Studio and Scotia Bookbinding in Halifax and she is one of the founding members of the Nova Scotia Book Arts Group.
