Intro to Acrylics: Full Program

Take a fun, relaxed and comprehensive step into the the world of acrylics. Whether you are looking for a refresher or are new to painting, this course will offer you all the basics you need to get started.

We will cover:

• Introduction to materials and setting up your workspace
• Basic colour theory (including tonal painting, blending, and colour mixing)
• Brush types and line quality experimentation.
• Choosing subjects, as well as an introduction to composition, narrative, and style.
• Mediums, canvas preparation and archival best practices.
• And so much more!

Each class will start with a short lesson with the remainder of the time devoted to painting (multiple image options will be provided in class. This will be a fun and informative learning environment with an open flow of experimentation, troubleshooting, Q&A, lots of one on one assistance, and of course lots of painting!
