About the Workshop
Learn how to design, carve, and print a set of 10 greeting cards just in time for the holidays. Let’s celebrate the festive season with your very own original cards to send to family and friends. If you can make a potato stamp, you can do this! Please bring a 5x7 inch drawing or photograph to reference. I will provide transfer paper to copy the image onto the carving pad. Class fee includes all materials and tools. Families and youth are welcome. The class is suitable for individuals 12 years or older.

Allison started printmaking in 1998, and went full time in 2013 while living in a small seaside village called Ucluelet (you-clue-let) on the western edge of Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
Allison has spent hundreds of hours since then practising and developing her original style. She approaches her work like an impressionist, focusing on texture, colour, and representing the subject matter from an emotional fluid-like place rather than working towards realism.
Allison moved to Nova Scotia in October 2019 to take her artwork and practice to another time and place. She is now working on what she considers iconic and incredible nature from West Coast to East Coast. She has travelled to most provinces and territories in Canada and with those memories hopes to capture the beauty and exceptional wonder of nature for another 20 plus years.
