What's On

Here at the Chester Art Centre, we strive to promote and engage the art community by hosting a number of art exhibitions and events along with our Artist in Residence program and the Donald Curly Art Series. It's safe to say we always have something going on!

View the variety of exhibitions and events hosted at the Chester Art Centre all year long in our vibrant South Shore Community.

Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We host a variety of exhibits year-round. From youth to professional and everything in between.

All our Exhibits take place at our Queen Street location just down from the Post Office. These Exhibits last a few days to a couple of weeks so make sure to swing by and see what's new at the Chester Art Centre!

At the Chester Art Centre, we hope to engage the community and grow our local art scene through community events, fundraisers, and festivals. Help us build a more creative community and, most importantly, have fun with us!

The artist-in-residency program at the Chester Art Centre is made possible by the Donald Curley fund, established in memory of the International Chester artist upon his death in 2009. Funded by contributions of friends and family, as well as the proceeds from the Donald Curley lecture series, please check back here for lecture details and to make donations or purchase tickets for upcoming lectures.

The residency exists to support artists as they stretch and grow their artistic scope with a required project including community engagement. Please check back regularly or sign up for our newsletter for information on upcoming residencies.

At the Chester Art Centre, we will give you the opportunity to make art, get messy, overcome the ordinary, put some colour in your life and break the rules.  We want to provide the opportunity to learn about art, its history, theory, and the practical application of various mediums.

Donald Curley Lecture Series

Our primary goal for the past ten years of the Donald Curley Art Series is to continue to broaden the discussion about creativity and how it connects to the world we live in. We have had an extensive range of speakers address an impressive number of topics and hundreds have attended.

Keep up to date on our next speakers!
