About The Event
This series of classes is aimed at beginners with some technical knowledge of washes, colour mixing, and brush work experience, who wish to further develop their skills in constructing a landscape watercolour painting. You will learn how to chose and mix your colour palette, edit and define your subject’s composition, capture the forms of land, sky, tree, and sea, and then how to put all the pieces together to create a finished painting.
You will have the opportunity to develop and discover your own personal style whether a looser more expressive approach or a more controlled realism. We will work from photographs/digital images, with the last two classes dedicated to painting your favourite place.
You will need to bring your own watercolour paint, brushes, and paper (140lb Cold Press, 9”x12” pad or block). Bring your iPad/tablet if you have one, but not required. Optional: masking fluid, drawing board to fit…
