Give a Planned Gift

Planned gifts of any size are lasting and meaningful contributions that support Chester Art Centre’s exhibitions, programs and building aspirations. If you’d like to explore making a gift to the Chester Art Centre that exceeds $20,000, you can choose to establish a Named Endowment Fund, to be recognized in perpetuity for your generosity.

Your planned gift can take many forms:

  • Making a gift in your will through cash

  • Establishing a Named Endowment Fund as a permanent investment fund at the Chester Art Centre

  • Naming the Chester Art Centre as a beneficiary in your retirement plan or life insurance policy

How to Make a Planned Gift

The Chester Art Centre is pleased to discuss your estate plans in relation to a planned gift to the Centre, but encourages anyone considering a planned gift to consult with their personal financial and legal advisors before including the Centre in their will. The Chester Art Centre asks that all donors who have made a planned gift complete a pledge form, available upon request, as a record of their commitment.

If you already have a will, it’s not too late to add a bequest. Likely for a small legal fee, you can add a codicil or amendment to your existing will. Again, we advise you to contact your lawyer or financial advisor or more information.

If you’re interested in discussing a planned gift, please contact the Chester Art Centre’s Executive Director, Bronwyn MacFair.

*Please note the Chester Art Centre is not engaged in rendering legal or tax advisory service. Advice from legal and tax counsel should be sought when considering these types of gifts.

CHESTER ART CENTRE LEGACY SOCIETY

The Chester Art Centre is deeply grateful to all members of the Legacy Society for including the Centre in their future financial plans.

We are thrilled to introduce our very first Legacy Society member, Beverley McInnes. She has made a commitment to support our organization well into the future through a planned gift.

Legacy gifts, also known as planned gifts, are an incredible way to create a lasting impact and ensure the sustainability of our gallery and community arts programming. By including us in her estate plans, Beverley makes it possible for us to continue to provide a space for artists to showcase their work and create opportunities for community members of all ages to engage in and appreciate the arts.

As an accomplished artist and one of the founding members of the Chester Art Centre, Beverley's generosity inspires us all. We are deeply grateful for her continued commitment to our mission and community.

We invite you to join Beverley in making a planned gift to our organization and becoming a Legacy Society Member. By doing so, you will help ensure that the arts continue to thrive in our community for years to come. Contact us to learn more about how you can make a lasting impact!
