Felted Merino Wool and Silk Scarves
Make a wet felted scarf using only Merino wool and silk fiber. Elise Campbell, will guide participants to design, layout and felt their scarf, creating a beautiful, lightweight, two tone scarf, perfect for our chilly mornings. With a long taper there are many ways to wear your handmade piece.

About The Event
Make a wet felted scarf using only Merino wool and silk fiber. Elise Campbell, will guide participants to design, layout and felt their scarf, creating a beautiful, lightweight, two tone scarf, perfect for our chilly mornings. With a long taper there are many ways to wear your handmade piece. No experience necessary. Please choose scarf colour preference: black/white, greys, blues, red/orange, greens, purples, pinks, brown/tan Please bring 2 large towels and a pair of scissors. Comfortable shoes, bed raisers (or 4 28oz tomato cans) and an apron/extra shirt are recommended.
About Your Instructor:
Elise Campbell is a textile artist and educator who works with wool, silk, and other natural fibres to create sculptural and wearable art. She lives in Stillwater Lake, just outside of Kjipuktuk/Halifax, NS. Elise’s work and creative research, including an international felting study, have been supported by grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and The Robert Pope Foundation. She has received awards and invitations from art galleries in Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Ontario, and her work is regularly publicly exhibited.
